‘Hermanos’ (2023) – Short Film

Hermanos is a dark comedy about two estranged Mexican siblings who come together to scatter their mother’s ashes in the English countryside. Malena, a neuroscientist who lives in Oxford, is just finishing a paper about chronic pain when there’s a knock on the door. Her brother Fernando, who she hasn’t spoken to in 10 years, is on the other side of the door holding her mother’s urn. After she gets over the initial shock the siblings embark on a journey to the English countryside to honour her mother’s last wish.
